Totally in line with its epithet ‘Land of Perpetual Summer’, Seychelles enjoys one of the most equitable climates on the planet. The year can be divided into two seasons : that of the north-west trade winds which blow from November through to March and which bring much of the islands’ life giving rains, and the south-east trades winds which blow from May to September, bringing with them cooler temperatures and more lively seas, perfect for sailing. The intervening months are normally periods of warmer weather and calm seas ideal for swimming, diving & snorkelling and cruising the ocean.
L’Archipel Hotel’s helpful and knowledgeable staff will be pleased to assist you in organising your watersports, deep-sea and bottom fishing and diving excursions and island-hopping expeditions to neighbouring islands. The hotel water sports centre also provides canoes, snorkelling and paddleboard equipment free of charge to its guests.
The hotel may organise trips that will allow you to explore the marine world and surrounding islands in comfort whether on fishing trips, scenic cruises or romantic excursions. Praslin Island offers a host of attractions to enjoy during your stay, including a number of world-ranked beaches such as Anse Lazio; unforgettable golf on Lemuria Resort’s 18-hole, championship golf course; the wonders of the legendary Vallée de Mai once believed to be the original site of the biblical Garden of Eden; the Praslin Heritage Route and Pirate Treasure Trail; the Black Pearl Farm Gallery; Praslin Museum and Fond Ferdinand for an out of this world experience of nature.
Praslin is serviced by regular Air Seychelles domestic flights from Mahé and also by the Cat Cocos fast catamaran ferry operating daily. There is also the option of helicopter charter via Zilair, the local helicopter company. The hotel will be pleased to arrange transfers between the airport or jetty and the hotel for a fee.
